Role Overview
Our client seeks a Vice President of Finance to support the company in achieving its financial & project development goals. This role will involve managing a wide range of initiatives related to project finance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work cohesively with senior management to create & execute a robust financial strategy that aligns with the company’s key goals
- Analyze financial models, determine financial risks & identify key opportunities
- Identify & secure financing for projects from a variety of sources
- Develop & maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Create & refine complex financial models
- Perform due diligence on projects
- Analyze various scenarios for projects
- Spearhead negotiations & support with contract structuring
- Work efficiently with internal stakeholders
- Proactively identify & manage project risks
- Evaluate & track project financials over time
- Clearly communicate with all stakeholders
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including through reporting requirements
- Develop & present reports & presentations both internally & externally
- Oversee an efficient & productive team
- Provide mentorship & performance reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, such as finance or economics
- MBA or other advanced degree is preferable
- Experience in investment banking, project finance or a similar position within clean energy
- Strong understanding of financial modeling & investment analysis within renewable energy
- Demonstrated success in developing & closing project finance deals
- Exceptional relationships with key stakeholders such as financial institutions
- Excellent knowledge of clean energy policies, technologies & trends
- Strong team management skills
- Highly detail-oriented, analytical & able to resolve issues efficiently
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to excel in fast environments
- Highly self-motivated & results-oriented
