Role Overview

Our client seeks a Director to support with regulatory matters at the federal level. The Director will work with both internal & third party stakeholders to advocate, develop & implement company positions on policy & energy regulations. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop & implement strategies for enacting policies
  • Draft relevant documents to be filed with federal agencies
  • Review & assess federal agency filings
  • Determine & analyze the financial impact of federal agency proceedings
  • Help with planning corporate responses to proceeding outcomes
  • Advocate for key company positions
  • Liaise with federal government agency staff

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Experience in legal and/or energy regulatory affairs
  • Strong knowledge of federal regulatory agencies 
  • Excellent ability to review & assess policy implications 
  • Clear & effective written communication skills 
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills
  • High level of emotional intelligence 
  • Strong negotiation skills
