Role Overview
The Sales Manager will drive distributed generation sales, focusing on solar energy, energy storage, & energy infrastructure projects in the Eastern US. They will grow client portfolios & project pipelines by executing market strategies, developing value propositions, & collaborating with various teams to influence key decision-makers. This role combines analytical problem-solving with strategic leadership to expand opportunities in evolving markets.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Drive new energy services customer acquisition in the Eastern US
- Focus on key markets & meeting sales targets
- Evaluate project proposals to maximize revenue or reduce costs
- Guide projects efficiently with various teams
- Monitor regulations & energy programs to identify business opportunities
- Build & manage partnerships supporting project origination & development
- Oversee contract negotiations
- Provide regular sales pipeline updates & forecasts
- Quickly assess leads & opportunities
- Engage with customers on projects
- Collaborate across teams to optimize outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred
- Highly motivated & able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Innovative, forward-thinking & adaptable
- Energy sales experience in the Eastern US
- Strong track record in supporting energy service projects
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- Skilled in defining customer needs
- Ability to manage multiple complex projects & relationships effectively
- Creative problem-solving & critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products
