The Role

Our client seeks a Finance Associate to work out of their Houston office who will be responsible for market research, financial modeling and deal valuations. This position is ideal for anyone who can handle work independently and take initiative in their work.  

Duties & Responsibilities

• Help with the creation of financial models to justify investment decisions
• Assist with the building of investment memos, reports and corporate models for management
• Work towards identifying areas of opportunity for organizational improvement
• Assess financial and business data
• Stay up to date on industry trends to help inform investment decisions
• Research and be aware of trends in the energy industry and related markets
• Utilize data mining to understand and create insights regarding target customers and competitive strategies
• Summarize, manage and create data sets.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting or Finance
• Experience working as a Financial Analyst at an investment bank with renewables or energy experience
• Experience in development or finance at a leading renewable energy developer
• Ability to build solutions to complicated problems
• Attention to detail and well developed problem-solving, decision-making and analytical skills
• Able to work comfortably in a paperless environment
• Experience and comfort with Microsoft Office products like Word, PowerPoint and Excel
