The Role

Our client seeks a Director of Origination who will report directly to the VP of the department and can support the origination efforts of the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assess all requests for proposal (RFPs/RFIs) opportunities
• Create proposals and marketing materials as needed
• Keep an eye out for sales opportunities through research and customer review
• Help develop innovative sales structures
• Communicate with customers to help understand their current and future needs and transform these needs into sales or projects
• Work with both new and existing customers to create solid networks
• Help the company with market intelligence that can assist with business development

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience in energy origination
• Proven record of managing the RFP response process
• Experience in a power marketing role with a focus on structuring, negotiating and executing contracts
• Successful sales record in prior positions
• Strong understanding of the US power markets
• Proven record of successful relationships with utility customers
