Our client is focused on accelerating the clean energy transition through the deployment of a high volume of battery energy storage systems.
Role Overview
Our client seeks a Senior Manager, Analytics, to work collaboratively with staff that are experienced in interconnection & analytics. The Senior Manager will help provide analysis related to both revenue & transmission, create financial models, & support the company in assessing potential investment opportunities. This position will involve analyzing large, public deals across a wide range of locations for a rapidly growing company.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development of modeling in North American markets
- Create models to accurately show existing & future scenarios
- Determine ideal energy storage sites & project sizes while factoring in relevant services that could be provided
- Prepare & share market intel & track items such as energy production & anticipated future loads
- Create forecasts related to revenue based on models
- Support with developing trading strategies related to operating assets
- Work cohesively with the mergers & acquisitions & development teams to support with developing projects & future acquisitions
- Create & present results of analysis to senior team members
Qualifications
- Experience in the energy industry, such as in development, consulting or otherwise, within renewable energy specifically
- Degree in economics, engineering, or related field
- PhD or Masters degree is preferred
- Experience with modeling energy markets in Texas
- Strong understanding of Texas utility processes – from interconnection to transmission
- Transmission planning experience is preferred
- Computer programming experience
- Highly motivated, adaptable & self-driven
- Exceptional emotional intelligence & interpersonal skills
