Role Overview
Our client is looking for a Senior Analyst to join its expanding Business Development group. In this role, the individual will focus on evaluating project economics, reviewing potential opportunities, and preparing key materials and records. The position will also contribute to early phase project development activities and provide insights through market analysis and research.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Partner with the origination and acquisitions team members by building financial projections and conducting quantitative assessments
- Contribute to forming investment perspectives, evaluating new opportunities, and supporting diligence efforts throughout each stage of the development pipeline
- Operate internal financial tools to assess project feasibility, including performing scenario testing to identify potential risks and returns
- Utilize internal project tracking and CRM systems to manage leads and generate reporting on active opportunities and pipeline status
- Assist deal teams by conducting industry and market research, developing pricing outlooks, reviewing and pressure-testing external analyses, and helping shape the company’s perspective on key markets
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline such as finance, business, renewable energy, or a similar area
- Approximately one to two years of professional experience in a related role
- Capability to clearly present financial analyses and diligence findings to commercial teams, leadership, and external stakeholders such as consultants, engineers, and contractors
- Experience building and working with financial models, preferably within a project finance context
- Understanding of core financial metrics, with the ability to navigate, audit, and enhance Excel-based models
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic, high-growth environment, both independently and collaboratively Highly organized with strong attention to accuracy and detail
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Eligible to work in the United States
