Role Overview
Our client seeks a Chief Development Officer to spearhead the growth of the company’s project pipeline. The successful candidate will lead, develop, & add new members to, his or her team to accomplish company goals. The Chief Development Officer will help enable the company to provide value to financiers & partners through the completion of complicated projects at scale.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the development of energy storage projects from beginning to end
- Form & develop an efficient, cohesive & highly productive team
- Collaborate with a range of professionals across the company – from market research to finance & origination
- Handle due diligence matters related to permitting & other relevant aspects of each project
- Support with strategy development & implementation
- Form & maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders, from grid operators to landowners
- Manage & adhere to schedules & budgets
Qualifications
- Prior experience in energy project development, ideally focused on energy storage
- Proven track record of successfully creating, managing & leading teams
- Ability to resolve unexpected issues efficiently
- Exceptional communication & relationship management skills
- Strong understanding of project P&L & related financial analyses
- Ability to synthesize information & present to third party stakeholders
- Proven experience advancing grid-scale projects through to operations
- Adaptable, self-driven & highly motivated
- Ability to manage project budgets & schedules
