Role Overview
This position provides analytical and coordination support to a global business development team. Responsibilities include conducting research on markets, customers, competitors, and geographic trends to help identify and evaluate growth opportunities. The role also contributes to shaping customer and project solutions, including assisting with financial modeling. Additionally, it supports relationship management efforts and other initiatives as directed by senior commercial leadership.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support sourcing and evaluation of potential growth opportunities by collecting and reviewing relevant information
- Perform market and competitor assessments within the energy sector by compiling data, synthesizing insights, and drafting concise summaries
- Collaborate cross-functionally to advance key priorities of the business development function
- Contribute to the design and optimization of client and project solution frameworks
- Create and update financial projections and assist in developing supporting analyses for client-facing and internal initiatives
- Generate forecasts across regions and market segments using research data, historical performance, and industry trends
- Provide research assistance to senior staff and help produce and refine team-facing collateral and materials
- Partner with finance, cost analysis, engineering, and licensing teams to validate assumptions and inputs used in financial evaluations
- Develop executive-ready materials, including presentations, financial insights, and projections, for leadership review
- Assist senior team members in preparing for leadership meetings by delivering updated data, visuals, and supporting analysis
- Demonstrate professionalism and strong communication standards across all interactions
- Complete additional responsibilities as directed by management
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in finance, business, economics, engineering, or a similar discipline
- At least two to four years of applicable professional experience
- Demonstrated experience developing or managing financial models and contributing to materials presented to senior leadership
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for translating complex financial concepts into clear insights for non-technical audiences
- Strong capabilities in analytical work, projections, and scenario evaluation, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
