Role Overview
Our client is hiring a Business Development Manager to grow its portfolio of sustainability-focused solutions across European markets. This position involves driving commercial growth by forming strong partnerships with private-sector stakeholders and promoting services related to carbon reduction. The ideal candidate will be familiar with voluntary carbon mechanisms, have experience marketing GHG reporting tools or carbon credits, and be comfortable engaging in proposals, RFPs, and ongoing client retention.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across various sectors by promoting impactful environmental solutions.
- Actively generate and follow up on your own leads through research and outreach to drive growth.
- Manage the entire sales journey—from initial contact to final agreement—independently and efficiently.
- Understand prospective clients’ sustainability priorities and translate complex offerings into actionable plans.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver custom climate strategies aligned with client needs.
- Consistently exceed revenue goals by maintaining a strong, well-managed sales pipeline.
- Build lasting relationships with potential and existing clients through thoughtful communication and consistent follow-up.
- Act as a trusted advisor, offering expert guidance on emissions reduction and climate-related initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to expand services within accounts, increasing value for clients and revenue for the company.
- Independently nurture client relationships to encourage satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
- Stay informed on environmental markets and industry shifts to spot opportunities and shape outreach efforts.
- Apply market insights to craft tailored messaging and value-driven proposals for prospects.
- Create and implement strategic plans to drive new client acquisition and market entry.
- Hit or exceed quarterly revenue and margin benchmarks with disciplined execution.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and actively contribute to weekly pipeline review meetings.
- Design and execute multi-channel outreach campaigns to source and qualify new leads.
- Use CRM tools and automation platforms to scale outbound efforts and increase efficiency.
- Lead outreach via email, phone, and networking to build a predictable flow of qualified prospects.
- Handle administrative tasks independently, including contract management, invoicing, and internal reporting.
- Propose fresh ideas to improve client engagement, sales processes, and business expansion.

Qualifications
