They have over 10 GW of solar power & energy storage projects that they are actively developing in an effort to accelerate the energy transition.
Role Overview
Our client seeks an Associate Counsel who will handle a wide range of tasks to help develop, build, finance & operate clean energy projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work cohesively across various teams – from development to finance to EPC
- Support with agreements such as those related to procurement, offtake & finance
- Provide assistance with drafting, negotiating & completing project-based transactions as well as ensure financial compliance
- Spearhead legal matters related to real estate deals, from negotiating agreements such as leases, to supporting with title & policy issuances
- Support with assessing & reviewing responses to RFPs & requests for due diligence
- Develop & implement legal policies & procedures to ensure efficient workflows
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Experience within the renewable energy industry
- Ability to multitask & work well under pressure
- Prior legal experience supporting complicated transactions
- Ability to focus as well as assess & resolve legal concerns efficiently
- Excellent management capabilities, including overseeing outside counsel
- Ability to work well on small legal teams
- Strong communication skills
