Role Overview
The Vice President of Project Management will oversee the strategic direction, growth, and operational management of a key division within the company. This role is responsible for developing and executing long-term strategies, driving business performance, and fostering a culture of innovation. The VP will ensure alignment with corporate objectives, oversee financial operations, and engage with clients and stakeholders to deliver impactful, sustainable solutions that reduce carbon emissions. This position requires a dynamic leader with deep industry expertise in clean energy construction management and a passion for sustainability.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic plans that align with the company’s mission to drive sustainability and reduce carbon emissions
- Oversee daily operations to ensure optimal performance, streamline processes, and uphold high standards of operational excellence
- Lead financial planning efforts, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis, while prioritizing sustainability objectives
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners, serving as a trusted advisor and industry thought leader
- Champion a culture of innovation by encouraging the adoption of new ideas, technologies, and best practices in energy consulting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated, company-wide solutions and achieve business goals
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering professional growth and setting clear performance expectations
- Stay ahead of industry trends, regulations, and market opportunities to maintain a competitive edge in the energy sector
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in sustainability, energy efficiency, or a related field, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven success in leading on-site technical teams for construction of clean energy projects or energy advisory services
- Strong financial management skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight
- In-depth knowledge of the energy consulting or sustainability sector, with a track record of success
- Exceptional relationship management and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline; an advanced degree is preferred
