The Role

Our client seeks a Senior Manager who is analytical and motivated to join the Structured Finance team. The person in this role will work with various teams in the organization, including the legal, engineering and origination teams to help ensure successful financings for utility-scale solar projects being developed. As a leader on the finance team, this role will also be responsible for the management of Senior Analysts, reports and various other financing related deliverables.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support all negotiations with financing counterparts related to debt, financial products, tax equity and solar assets
  • Manage and execute all aspects of transactions, including modeling, managing outside consultants, marketing, and investor due diligence
  • Assist the business development and project development teams
  • Support the business development team with pricing and winning solar projects
  • Craft presentations for different project lifecycle milestones
  • Support project valuation and acquisition for projects that have contracts
  • Maintain and improve the organization’s financial model suite by working with junior staff
  • Keep an eye on all competition and industry trends

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Excellent financial modeling skills  
  • Refined oral and written communication skills
  • Extensive understanding of tax equity and debt structures related to the renewable energy industry
  • Extensive experience working in a role like financial analysis or a renewable energy development organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field preferred
  • MBA or CFA preferred, but not required
  • Proven ability to support project finance transactions at all stages
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A highly analytical individual who can think strategically
  • Very organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail
  • Can multitask and handle multiple assignments at once
  • Team player and self-motivated
