The Role

Our client seeks a Senior Associate for the Capital Markets team. This senior position will be responsible for all financing-related issues of the company. The person best fit for this role will work on tax equity, corporate debt, finance debt related to projects and many other forms of transactions. These tasks will be accomplished through deal documentation and modeling and analysis, amongst other tasks. As the organization grows, the tasks associated with this position and its scope may also rise. The right candidate will be proactive and be able to add value to the positive culture of the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the capital formation process
  • Work with analytical tasks and financial modeling
  • Support all finance related processes throughout negotiation and transaction documentation
  • Address all issues to drive forward the goal of financial close
  • Maintain and work on building relationships both internally and externally
  • Work with the fund management team to secure funding
  • Collaborate with all relevant teams across the organization, including construction, operations, legal, procurement, M&A and project development
  • Constantly work on the improvement of the company’s processes
  • Work within the organization’s culture
  • Ensure solid business ethics are adhered to at all times

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a field related to the position
  • Between 4-6 years of experience in a position such as advisor, leader, investor, etc. within the power or real estate or infrastructure industry
  • Experience with transactions are needed, such as tax equity or experience with project finance debt
  • Experience with utility-scale renewable energy is a plus
  • Be a self-driven and enthusiastic learner
  • Knowledge of VBA is preferred
  • Is comfortable with speaking up and being decisive  
  • Able to produce high quality work
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
