Role Overview
The Sales Director will lead distributed generation sales efforts in the Eastern United States. They will be focused on driving growth in solar energy, energy storage, & energy infrastructure through transactions. This role involves developing market strategies, shaping client value propositions, & supporting with investor relations while collaborating with various teams. As a key leader within the company, the Sales Director integrates team efforts & leverages industry expertise to influence decision-makers & drive strategic initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee sales performance across target markets nationwide
- Lead team efforts to consistently meet or exceed annual goals
- Use knowledge of the Eastern region market to evaluate project viability & find ways to boost revenue or cut costs
- Collaborate with departments ranging from Finance to Development to advance initiatives efficiently
- Monitor regulations & energy programs to identify new business opportunities
- Build & maintain a network of partners to support project development & execution
- Track & forecast the sales pipeline
- Handle contract negotiations
- Maintain a fast-paced sales process
- Seek strategic opportunities to improve approaches
- Mentor less experienced staff from
- Recruit & onboard new sales staff as needed
- Work with marketing to ensure alignment with sales
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree is preferable
- Highly driven & able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
