The Role
Our client seeks a Project Manager who will lead and oversee the project lifecycle as a member of the EPC team. Within this role, the ideal candidate will help with the design and construction of solar energy projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work in all stages of the project including interconnection, development, and procurement
- Manage contractor buyouts
- Work with the Sr. PM or Project Director in negotiations
- Make sure that all requirements of the project are completed within the needed timeline
- Make contact with utility counterparts
- Manage all interconnection activities ranging from technical submissions to inspections
- Create and manage reports
- Update all schedules and costs
- Conduct site visits on a regular basis
- Have weekly meetings with vital stakeholders as needed
- Work with internal construction quality and safety teams
- Act as a corporate representative for the company
- Coordinate with all engineers to ensure projects are meeting standards
- Manage all individuals who report directly to your position and give day to day supervision
- Give your team direction as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
- B.A. in Business Administration, Engineering or Construction Management is preferred
- Ability to understand and interpret drawings and specifications
- Previous experience with management of solar project lifecycles
- Experience with the management of high voltage design and construction
- Understanding of project quality and safety requirements
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and know how to prioritize tasks in an effective manner
- Ability to multitask projects and deadlines
- Advanced computer skills with knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat
- Prior experience with AutoCAD is not required, but is a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Well-developed communications skills
