The Role
Our client seeks an Energy Asset Manager who will be in charge of both operational and technical supervision of the company’s energy assets. This position merges multiple roles including the management of daily operations as well as outreach and work with both external and internal stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee third party service providers and engineers
- Ensure all assets are meeting their performance targets
- Track all assets and identify areas that need improvement to create possible solutions
- Track budgets versus expenses and provide consistent cost variance analysis
- Create regular reporting and performance analysis for internal stakeholders
- Make sure all incentives are reported and registered in a timely manner and with attention to accuracy
- Nurture external stakeholder relationships such as local government, utilities and landowners
- Safeguard compliance with all utility, interconnection and regulatory requirements
- Give input on areas of technical operation for new projects
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, material science, engineering or related field
- Experience within the renewable energy asset management industry
- Familiarity with the supply chain and common models and brands in the solar industry
- Refined understanding of solar PV storage and generation
- Ability to understand engineering drawings
- Familiarity with DAS/SCADA/monitoring systems
- Affable and positive attitude
