The Role

The role of Origination Director is a leadership position that needs an individual that is motivated and self-driven, who has a deep understanding of, and passion for, decarbonizing the industrial industry. The successful candidate for this position will need to be able to head the origination efforts for the company and work to build a pipeline of projects that can support the company’s operational goals within the next several years. The individual selected for this position will lead all customer related activities and be in charge of heading the internal team as well as external service providers and partners.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create an origination function which includes processes, external partners and systems and materials
  • Build and operate an origination strategy that captures customers successfully in various sectors and within multiple product offerings
  • Help with the creation of new green hydrogen offtake opportunities
  • Lead the internal processes for the generation of proposals with continuous reporting to management on progress made
  • Ensure that there is a high level of interactions and visibility with the market and customers
  • Promote the company as the supplier of choice to all available consumer segments
  • Help to advance customer contact with initial outreach, marketing, proposals and final contracting
  • Work to close deals with internal and external focus
  • Constantly monitor the market to ensure strategies, product offerings and terms and conditions are adapting to be competitive and relevant

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Track record of successfully originating, negotiating, and closing projects and deals related to energy
  • Prior work in heavy industry, i.e. chemicals, refining, etc., a plus
  • Proven success in leading and building cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic and positive
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multitask in an independent manner
  • Professional and highly ethical
  • Work in diverse groups and work towards team success
