Role Overview
Our client seeks a Chief Investment Officer to work with executive level staff to strategically plan, implement & manage all financial transactions & associated programs. The CIO will primarily handle management of the origination team, product development, transaction implementation, as well as market outreach.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with contractors, developers, financial institutions & other parties
- Lead due diligence initiatives
- Ensure compliance through coordination with teams
- Make recommendations to overcome market shortcomings
- Manage the investment team
- Present opportunities for investment
- Ensure that transactions are meeting strategic goals
- Support with product development & approvals
- Provide input on & help shape organizational strategies
- Maintain familiarity with relevant markets
Qualifications & Requirements
- MBA or other advanced degree in relevant field
- Experience in combination of nonprofit management, community development, banking or lending, fund management or other relevant field
- Exceptional communication skills, both written & verbal
- Ability to clearly present & communicate information
- Experience leading product development & program expansions related to clean energy & sustainability
- Ability to implement new climate-related programs & initiatives
- Proven capability of overcoming market barriers
- Experience managing long-term, organization-wide programming
- Ability to foster strong relationships with key stakeholders
