Business Development Director

Our client operates a development and finance company that enables large industrial companies to monetize their waste heat and convert it into clean power. They help these companies drastically reduce their carbon footprint and do not require that they have capital.

The Role

Our client seeks a Business Development Director who will focus on growing revenue, developing partnerships and expanding new business opportunities. In this role, the Director will report to the Chief Development Officer and support the Business Development team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead origination efforts
  • Help identify new business opportunities
  • Enhance customer relations efforts
  • Assist with the negotiation and execution of transactions
  • Filter through potential customers by assessing their commercial potential
  • Help to qualify leads through an understanding of power markets
  • Assist with finding valuable contacts
  • Create strong interactions with high level contacts to better understand their needs
  • Stay informed of customer needs and targets with regard to sustainability goals
  • Find new markets and track all relevant trends
  • Work with the technical teams to help create ideal decarbonization solutions
  • Focus on the management of sales processes
  • Help to both support the company’s existing culture while also shaping the long-term objectives and ways to meet those objectives

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Extensive experience in business development
  • Proven record of performance
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field
  • Personal interest in clean energy and the energy transition
  • Have an entrepreneurial drive
  • Motivated self-starter
