The Company

Our client is a portfolio company of an international investment firm & focuses on developing, constructing, owning & operating sustainable, large-scale infrastructure assets throughout the United States. They have over 10 GW of solar power & energy storage projects that they are actively developing in an effort to accelerate the energy transition.

Role Overview

Our client seeks an Associate with strong organizational, analytical & communication skills who can support Business Development team members & other internal & external stakeholders. The Associate’s primary job duties will include developing financial models, evaluating projects & portfolios for acquisition, & communicating findings.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assess energy storage & renewable energy projects & portfolios for potential acquisition
  • Develop complex financial models & support with due diligence
  • Work collaboratively with external & internal stakeholders, including Business Development team members
  • Analyze & present findings & recommendations to management
  • Support the commercialization of assets
  • Provide support for project development & financing, contract negotiations, & project engineering & design alterations

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally in a quantitative subject
  • Experience in clean energy, energy, or other real asset industries such as real estate or transportation
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills
  • Strong communication capabilities
  • Exceptional organizational & analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace
  • Strong desire to mitigate climate change
  • Experience preparing presentations
  • Ability to work partially in-person (e.g., a couple of days a week) & remotely
